Big news in the WWE occurred last Sunday with Otis and Asuka winning this year’s Money in the Bank ladder matches.

But the biggest news of the week came on Monday, and was apropos, coming off Mother’s Day.

WWE RAW women’s champion Becky Lynch announced on this past Monday’s “RAW” that she’s pregnant, and as a result, Asuka became the new champion due to her Money in the Bank win.

Lynch, who’s engaged to RAW star Seth Rollins, told People.com on Monday that she’s due to give birth in December.

Last year at “WrestleMania 35,” the first time women headlined a WrestleMania event, Lynch beat Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey to win both the RAW and SmackDown women’s championships.

Lynch lost the SmackDown title the next month, but held on to the RAW title for a record 399 days before relinquishing the championship.

‘Stone Cold’ controversy over Tide mask?: A normal day out in LA for WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin turned into a trending moment on social media.

On Wednesday, Austin shared a photo on Instagram of him wearing a University of Alabama football custom face mask:

“Running errands on the Mean Streets of LA,” Austin wrote. “Friend of mine made me this custom @alabamafbl mask. The mask is cool but she made it a little too small. So it cuts off the circulation to my ears. My ears are actually crimson. Since she is a @clemsonfb fan, I figured she ribbed me on purpose. #staysafe #rolltide #fordfocus”

It appeared a fan was disappointed that Austin donned the mask:

“The mask goes against your reputation!”, the fan replied. “Stay strong, be a rebel, and do not conform! Cool mask, but strip off the communism!”

Austin then replied, “Shut up dude.”

Million Dollar Man’s house has a price: According to Realtor.com, WWE Hall of Famer, “The Million Dollaer Man” Ted DiBiase, is putting his lakeside home in Madison, Mississippi, for sale with a price tag of $1,575,000.

In February, Ted’s son and former WWE performer Brett DiBiase pleaded not guilty in a welfare embezzlement case.

Brett was one of several people arrested two weeks ago in connection with a Mississippi embezzlement scheme.

Brett was allegedly paid $48,000 to teach classes about opioid abuse, but according to the auditor’s office, those classes didn’t take place.

Brett allegedly used the money for his drug rehab in Malibu, California, instead.

Giacomo Bologna and Luke Ramseth of the (Jackson) Clarion-Ledger reported that the state of Mississippi gave more than $2.1 million in welfare money to Ted’s Heart of David Ministries, citing state records.

Ted, who hasn’t been charged with a crime, founded Heart of Ministries 20 years ago.

El Patron accused of sexual assault: Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron, real name Jose Alberto Rodgriguez Chucuan, was arrested May 9 in San Antonio and charged with a count of sexual assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, El Patron was alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman on May 3 and threatened to drop her child in the middle of the road.

He was released on $50,000 bail and awaits a trial date.

El Patron is a former WWE champion, WWE world heavyweight champion, Impact world champion and CMLL world heavyweight champion.

El Patron, who was known as Alberto Del Rio in WWE, was released from Impact in 2018 after no-showing an event, and he lost to UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz in a mixed-martial arts bout last December.

McMahon defends firing Luck: In response to former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck’s lawsuit against XFL owner and WWE chairman Vince McMahon, McMahon’s lawyers argued on Wednesday that Luck was fired “for cause.”

McMahon’s lawyers wrote Luck “effectively abandoned his responsibilities as the CEO and Commissioner of the XFL at a time when the league faced its most significant crisis — the threat to its business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Luck, a longtime football executive and father of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, is suing McMahon for his April 9 dismissal, alleging breach of contract.

Luck is seeking $23.8 million, the remainder of a contract that was worth five years and $35 million.

Luck is also accused of “personal use of a league-assisted cellphone” and ignoring a McMahon order to not hire players with “questionable or problematic backgrounds.”

Luck’s attorney Paul Dobrowski told ESPN, “Oliver is thrilled that this can all be aired in the court of public opinion, because his position is that he was wrongfully terminated.”

After five games, the XFL canceled its season in March due to the coronavirus pandemic; then in April suspended its operations fired its employees and declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.
