Pima County celebrates 13 after completing drug treatment programs

TUCSON – Thirteen Pima County residents celebrated a new beginning Wednesday night.

The group graduated from Pima County Superior Court’s drug court and Drug Treatment Alternative to Prisons program that night.

The Celebration of Sobriety honored each individual graduate for completing one of the drug treatment programs.

The programs focus on recovery and rehabilitation rather than punishment.

Since 2005, more than 440 people have successfully graduated from the drug court program.

Also, more than 80 people have graduated from DTAP since 2010.
